Dear WOMAN!

Dear Woman,

Somewhere and somehow this very extreme misconception has lurked within the secrecy of the fabricated lies we tell ourselves about other women—SHE meaning other women, are our competition. The fallacy of such immature and insecure thinking!

Truth is, I have been married for nearly 14 years and still on every day of the week whether we are aware of the existence of one another or not, I will ALWAYS have more in common with you than him, simply because you are WOMAN. And even with life's very topsy turvy approach... The healthy version of you will always "get" the healthy version of me more than him.

Yesterday, my youngest daughter picked up my phone and there she saw side by side images of me with the words "Me Vs. Me", so naturally confusion swept over her face and out of her mouth. She inquired, "Me vs. Me?" This led to my explaining to her that I am in competition with no one but myself, and that on every day, in every way I'm striving to be the best version of ME that I can be.

And this ME that I am falling deeper and deeper in love with has only been made possible by my ability to lean into life's lessons involving other women—especially those that hurt me the most.

So, to you WOMAN...

When we’ve been hurt deeply, it’s SUPER easy to hold fast to that hurt in an effort to “protect ourselves”. Admittedly, this has been me—this has been my story! For quite a while (I’m still in the thick of it), I have been stung by women in so many ways and on so many occasions that I tricked myself into believing that I’d never have healthy female to female relationships. And here I am!!! This morning, I feel an immense amount of gratitude that God has blessed me with so many dynamic women! So, if you ever doubted it know that, you ARE seen! You are respected! YOU ARE LOVED! YOU ARE NEEDED—I need you And I’m better because I get to experience you… good, bad and indifferent!!!

I Love You to Life!
