It has become increasingly evident that the unhealed little he or she is running the show in the adult form of many of our lives, and it’s dangerous. Dangerous because the unhealed has caused some of us to become stagnant and, in many cases, vehement in the pursuit of an ever-fleeting target. The unhealed will always demand contortion and acquiescing—the reluctance minds it none, as long as it is permitted to filter your authenticity through its liking. Unhealed trauma is the antagonist that vilifies genuineness. Unhealed trauma extracts optimism as it has made its abode in what is perceived as a safe haven of pessimism. Unhealed trauma pleads for compassion all while hoarding the same. So you see, unhealed is unhealthy; consequently, unconfronted, it has the propensity to replicate itself, creating an environment unable to decipher what is real from what is fake.
